Project Description

The Ice is Melting at the Pøules is an organic candle light whose striking color scale reflects the latest more than 150-year global temperature increases.

The work consists of 168 vertical lines, each representing the annual average global temperature from 1850-2018. The lines vary in color ranging from the blue shades to the red depending on the temperature. They cover a temperature difference of 1.35 ° C and will move across the facade of the North Atlantic Pier in a sequence of a few minutes.
